Excursions

Gozo Farmhouses Ltd offers a variety of Excursions on a half or full day basis. These could be booked through Gozo Farmhouses Ltd representatives.

1. Full day around Gozo and Comino on the ‘GOZO PRINCESS’
Cruise to Comino, stopping at Crystal Lagoon for swimming and snorkeling. Than from there we visit the Imnieri caves and than we cruise to St. Maria and St. Niklaw bay where we stop at the Blue Lagoon for two hours for swimming and snorkeling, lunch (optional) and time to walk on the island of Comino, one can even stay on board sun bathing on the sundeck. From here we cruise around Gozo where we will stop for a swim at Dwejra Lagoon next to the Fungus rock and at Ramla Bay which is the sandiest bay in Gozo.

Departure from Mġarr Harbour every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 10:30 hrs and back at 16:30 hrs.

2. Half day around Comino on the ‘GOZO PRINCESS’
Cruise to Comino, stopping at Crystal Lagoon for swimming and snorkeling. Continuing around Comino visiting the caves and other historical places than to St. Maria and St. Niklaw bay where we stop at the Blue Lagoon for two hours for swimming and snorkeling, lunch (optional) and time to walk on the island of Comino.

Departure from Mġarr Harbour every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 10:30 hrs and back at 14:00 hrs.

3. Half day around Gozo on the ‘GOZO PRINCESS’
Cruise to Ħondoq bay, Daħlet Qorrot than stopping for a swim at San Blas or Ramla bay (weather permitting) continue to cruise towards Marsalforn, Salt Pans and then visit tunnel to the Inland sea, Azure Window and stop at Dwejra Lagoon for a swim next to the Fungus rock after we cruise towards Xlendi Bay, Ta` Ċenċ cliffs (The highest on the island 103 metres) pass Mġarr Ix- Xini where we cruise to our final destination Mġarr Harbour.

Departure from Mġarr Harbour every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 14:00 hrs and back at 16:30 hrs.

4. Full Day Popeye Village, Gozo & Comino – Gozo Princess All inclusive
Half Day Popeye Village & Comino Blue lagoon – All inclusive

Combination ½ day Boat & ½ day Jeep Safari

5. Mdina – Full Day
This excursion takes us to the central part of Malta that is dominated by the ancient citadel of Mdina. On passing through the narrow streets of Mdina, the ‘silent city’, we will admire the cathedral and the imposing bastions that command a magnificent view of most of the island. On leaving Mdina through the ‘Greek Gate’ we stop at the catacombs before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch visits to the botanic gardens of San Anton and the impressive dome of Mosta’s parish church are included besides the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali, where you are given time for shopping.

Guided Tour – Every Tuesday – Pick up time from Cirkewwa at 08.30 hrs.

6. Blue Grotto and Temples – Full Day
Discover the southern part of Malta. After having visited the fishing villages of Marsaxlokk and Birżebbuġa we proceed to the fabled Blue Grotto where there will be the possibility of admiring the grottoes from closeby. (Boat price not included). Lunch is served in one of the picturesque villages. Tarxien Temples is a group of three temples that due to their very good state of preservations provided plentiful evidence of the skill and artistic abilities of our forefathers. Our day comes to an end when you will be guided through the cave of Għar Dalam, one of the first habitants of these Islands.

Guided Tour – Every Friday – Pick up time from Cirkewwa at 08.30 hrs.

7. Valletta and The Malta Experience – Half Day
Our guided tour goes through the bustling street. Will first allow you to view the Barracca Gardens that command a breath taking panorama of the Grand Harbour and then to the St John’s co-Cathedral adorned in riches that date back to the times of the Knights of Malta. After we will also be visiting the Grand Master’s Palace where we see the state rooms. Lastly, we stop at the Malta Experience a multivision show that depicts Malta’s history through the ages.

Guided Tour – Every Monday – Pick up time from Cirkewwa at 13.00 hrs.

8. Sicily – Day Trip (Every day peak season)
On arrival in Pozzallo, we proceed by coach with our guide through Catania, passing Via Etna (Main Street in Catania) during which time our guide will give a running commentary about this city and Mount Etna, where we will drive up the Sylvester Craters. Time for lunch (not included) and souvenir shopping.

Departure from Mt. Etna to Tormina. Free time in Tormina Centre to enjoy the unique panoramic views overlooking Gardini Naxos, a former Greek colony, and now an international yachting center. Return to Pozzallo and departure for Malta. The price does not include the port tax (Lm4.00) to be paid at the port of Malta.

Pick up time from Ċirkewwa at 05.00 hrs and Ferry leaves Malta at 07.00 hrs.

9. Horse Carriage Tour
Experience the hidden charms of Gozo aboard a traditional carriage. Enjoy this journey back in time on an enchanting carriage ride through:

(Tour 1) The streets of Xagħra village. Pass by the Pre historic Temples of Ġgantija, Ta’ kola Windmill, the legendary cave of Calypso, Xerri’s Grotto, Museum of Toys and the Parish Church dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.

(Tour 2) Ride through the country side from Xagħra to Qala Village, Spectacular views of the Blue lagoon in Comino, Mgarr habour, pass by the Gozo Heritage and Rotunda Church of Xewkija.

Due to the climate, the times the horses go out are restricted to 6-9 a.m. and 4-9pm. Tours take 60 to 90 minutes.

10. Horse Riding (Accompanied and available for experienced only)
Horses are a great part of Gozitan life both in work and recreation. The ridding school can enable you to take full advantage of many tracks and paths, which lead to the intriguing parts of the Island.

11. Pony back riding and accompanied pony cart rides for children.
A ride on a pony will surely be an experience children will never forget. Tours is in the streets of Xagħra village and learns about the history of this Island.
